I live in Everett, Washington — the city where the first documented U.S. case of COVID-19 occurred.

I’m writing as an amateur citizen archivist. I’m trying to capture this historic moment in real time, to understand what this new way of living means. I want to help others feel less alone in this uncertain time.

I want to leave a record so my kids know what COVID-19 quarantine felt like.
